I was trying to find out when my Great, Great, Uncle who was in the war of 1812, died. Born 1783 John Whitaker or Whitacre’s husband.

  2. I would like to find the cemetery where John W. Weldon born 1810 in Columbia County, Ga
is buried. He was married to Janie/Jane C. (Caroline) Phillips, daughter of William Phillips and Susanna Dunn of Jasper County. John W. Weldon and Jane are in the 1860 Census of Bibb County, Georgia and then according to ancestry.com, he is buried in Shelby Co., Ala.
I have noticed that he is part of the Walter Gordon Edwards family. They put his name, and
buried in Shelby County, Alabama. There are a lot of “Weldon” names, but not this one.
I wonder where he is buried.
Thank you so much for your kindness and help. Have a super day.

    1. C. Chapman, out of curiosity, what does John W. Weldon have to do with Madison County military records which is where you posted this query?

  3. What part did the Alabama Militia have in the Florida indian wars. I had an ancestor that got a land grant for serving in Fry’s company in Florida war.

  4. I am trying hard to find the burial place of Ananias Jackson. He was born in December 1845 and died July 11, 1918. His death record indicates he died in Huntsville Alabama. He was a Civil War Veteran, but their records reveals no information of his burial. If anyone knows of his burial place, I would certainly appreciate your sharing the information. He had three sons that left Madison Alabama at an early age and was not in connection with their family afterwards. They were Ananias Jackson Jr., William Jackson and Wilson Jackson. If you know of anyone that might be their descendants Please have them contact me. My name and email address is below.
