Edna married George W. Ragsdale abt 1842/43. She died abt 1900, probably
at Tecumseh, Cherokee County.

I am looking for information on my grandpa - Elijah Lamberson
- He was born about 1818 in SC (not sure of county) later moved
west and was on Tippah cty MI census in 1850. He married a
person from AL, so I am hoping to get some leads from AL - not
sure if he lived in Al. In the 1950s the family moved to
Independence co AR. Any information would be appreciated.

I am trying to find information on the Chandler family in Tallapoosa and
Talladega County Alabama. My ancestor was George W. Chandler Sr. (1823-
1850's?) who married Louisa Carr (1820's-1880's). The family lived in
Tallapoosa county but moved to Talladega after George died. A child of
this family George W. Chandler Jr. (1853-1910's) married Augusta Lindsey
(1849-1906). They had four children including my great grand father
Marion Chandler (1875-1926). Marion married Jessie Gardner (1877-1952). I
am trying to prove the family was part Cherokee and find the ancestors of
George W. Chandler Sr.

11, John 9, Temetia 5, and Robert 3. All were born in GA. Temetia
married Lt. John Lumpkin Haynes, 24 Mar 1864 in Randolph Co. I'm looking
for any information on this family.

W. URIH HUGHES who married UNKNOWN WILLIAMS. I do not know
if they married in South Carolina or in Alabama. His father
was JOHN HUGHES who married DARCUS UNKNOWN(possibly SWANCY)
in South Carolina prior to coming to Alabama. JOHN HUGHES
died in Burleson County, Texas, 1841. Is anyone
researching the HUGHES name. Can you tell me the given
name for W. URIAH HUGHES wife, UNKNOWN WILLIAMS or the
maiden name for JOHN HUGHES wife DARCUS UNKNOWN. Any info

Am searching for Bramlett, Worthington, Ridley, Allen, Cook,
O'Kelly families that lived Talledega Co. 1880s--1910 or 12
or so. Some members of these families were found buried at Plum Springs
Cemetery on Fish Hatchery Road. Am looking specifically for information
on Cornelius Jefferson Worthington and families of Nancy Matilda Bramlett
Worthington and Georgiana Savannah Cook Ridley. Georgiana apparently is
buried in Alabama. She died maybe--1931 or so. These families may have

no record at County Court house. May have been cousin of Chandlers
at Chandler Springs. Married Martha Jane Peters, 15 Feb 1843 in
Carrollton, Ga. His father probable was Richard Carter Chandler.

I'm researching the family of my great-great-grandparents, Edward Wesley
BANNISTER and his wife, Lucy Jane Newsom, who were in Talladega county by
1840. They raised a large family in the county, with several of their
children moving to Kaufman County, Texas about 1900.
Any information about the Bannisters or their descendants would be
appreciated.

MACPHERSON - NANCE Dr. Rhesa R. Macpherson of Bibb Co., AL, may have had
relatives in Talladega Co. His widow, Clarienda E. NANCE Macpherson,
moved to Talladega and died there in 1890. We haven't been able to
locate where either are buried. Her mother, Dorcas NANCE, may be buried
with them. Can anyone help?

STRICKLAND - LEWIS Ancel Strickland married Agnes Lewis in GA ca. 1835,
and moved into Talladega Co. She died following the birth of their
seventh child in 1844, and should be buried there. Ansel's father,
Elisha Strickland, was teaching school in Munford as late as 1866. Does
