David Aplin first shows up in Alabama on the 1833 Barbour County, Alabama
  State Census

censored
in Dale County, Alabama with a total of 8 in the home, including his mother in law

Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Nothing further is mentioned about David
nor Lucy in
the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church minutes. Lucy died 1886 and was buried at
Antioch
Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. It is unclear to me why she was buried at Antioch
and not
Bethlehem Church, unless she had moved her letter to Antioch sometime after
2 14 Aug 2005 1881.
David
Aplin died in 1891. All during the course of time from 1834 to 1891 David Aplin

David Aplin's obituary Posted in the Clayton Courier on June-20-1891 stated he
died at the home of his son about 10 miles from Clayton, Alabama. He was receiving a Pension for services in the Indian War.

attach him to many of the unattached Aplin Lines. To this day we can only
speculate as to his lineage
A lot of the Alabama Aplin families were not able to read or write so very little
family history was
documented.
